I’m still working on the 90 days writing assignments, I’ve found a new hobby. Photography. I’ve always like taking photos, but never with any interest in the final look of the photo. A couple of weeks ago, I bought a new Canon Rebel T3/1100D camera with a telephoto lense. I’ve never owned such a great camera before. I took the camera on my trip to the 1,000 Islands tour, in Gananoque , Ontario. I had a great experience with the camera and fell in love with taking great looking photos.
So I’ve been exploring the web about the lessons on using the camera and taking photos. I’ve found the National Geographic website as well as Life Magazine. There is a lot of great information about photography. I’m now learning about F stops and all of the other settings on my camera. From time to time I’m going to post my photos on my blog, but at the same time, I’m going to continue my writing projects.
As for the 90 Days project, I’m on day 11. Over a tenth of the way through the project. The eleventh assignment is to go through my story and list the different conflicts. Once that is done I am to select the two key points of my story. The chapter refers to Syd Field, a great screenwriter and screenwriter instructor. I’ve read his books on screenwriting and absolutely loved the books. I need to determine my first and second plot point in today’s assignment.
In the ten proceeding days I have been working on my characters and my basic story line. It will be a fantasy story, taking place in the United Kingdom of Stroversai. It’s a story of honor, loyalty and being who your meant to be. There’s still a lot of work to be done – 79 days to be exact – but I can already see the story coming together and I’m looking forward to seeing my story goes.
A new frontier in writing. Exciting, isn’t it?
