Last time I wrote here, I wrote that I was going to write a 50,000+ word novel as part of the NaNoWriMo Challenge in November. That was back on October 3. Since then I have been creating characters, drawing maps, making notes and conducting intensive interviews with the characters to determine what they what to do. As of November 1, I have been writing my challenge. To complete 50,000 words in 30 days I need to write 1,667 words a day (about 10 pages, double spaced). So, at the end of day 5, I am a little behind by about 2,000 words. As of this moment I’ve written a little over 6,000 words. So I can’t write very long on here because these words don’t count towards my 50,000 words. If I can finish chapter 4 before the end of the weekend I’ll be right back on track.
It’s too bad life often gets in the way of writing time.
Talk again on December 1st.
